Can my knee be as strong as ever after an ACL reconstruction?
Assuming that it has fully healed after surgery. I’m on the verge of becoming a pro kickboxer, and has just torn my ACL. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Yes. The replacement ACL ligament, be it your own patella or an allographt, can be just as strong as your original ACL provided you give it adequet time to heal & set into the knee and make it a top priority to get your leg strong & keep it strong.
I had my ACL repaired in ’05 and have been able to make a 100% return to MMA competition(amateur though
